About Nils Lindahl Elliot
Thanks for your interest in cmcee.org. I worked as a lecturer and researcher for several years before I decided to set up an independent research centre and consultancy. You will find an account of some of the reasons why I made the big leap in this essay in the journal Policy Futures in Education. For an introduction to my research you may also wish to listen to two interviews on the BBC's Thinking Allowed programme (21 July 2004 or 25 October 2006). The contexts and the projects pages give a more detailed idea of my research interests, and the writings page has a list of papers. I am currently completing two books (Observing Wildlife on Barro Colorado Island, and The Nature of Zoos) which I regard as a continuation, via case studies, of the research published in Mediating Nature. Once I finish my current research projects I hope to bring to fruition some plans to transform cmcee.org from a 'virtual' state to an actual organisation that will combine the traditions of nonformal education, distance education, and the so-called 'creative industries'. You can contact me at nlindahl<at>cmcee.org (please substitute an @ for <at>.)
